A network of wireless into® technology powered sensors is professionally specified and installed by Surveyroof to monitor moisture conditions within a building.
Sensors are installed in key locations inside the roof structure and other critical areas. Sensors can be installed during the construction or easily retro-fitted afterwards. They continuously measure humidity, temperature, wood moisture content, and the presence of water.

Specification, Installation & Ongoing Monitoring
Surveyroof is ensuring that the into® technology is correctly specified, professionally installed, and positioned to deliver accurate, meaningful results.
Crucially, sensor installations are not limited to new-build projects. The system can be retrofitted into existing roof structures, making it particularly valuable for older roofs and buildings where additional risk is introduced, such as areas scheduled for PV (solar panel) installations.
We assess the building, roof construction, and known risk areas to advise on sensor type, quantity, and placement. This ensures monitoring is focused on the most vulnerable zones, including penetrations, interfaces, and areas affected by new loads or fixings associated with solar arrays.
Sensors can also be installed during the construction phase of new roof systems, embedding long-term monitoring from day one. In both retrofit and new installations, the aim is the same: targeted, reliable data that supports decision-making.
Once installed, the into® Control System operates independently in the background, continuously tracking environmental conditions without disruption to the building or its occupants.
The wireless sensors are designed for long-term deployment, with a battery life of up to 30 years, becoming a permanent layer of protection — supporting planned maintenance, reducing reactive repairs, and improving long-term roof performance.

Electronic Leak Detection
Non-destructive moisture mapping helps locate hidden moisture within the roof build-up and understand the extent of the problem. This supports targeted repairs and better maintenance decisions.
High Voltage Dry Test
A high-voltage integrity test carried out on dry, exposed membranes, identifying pinholes, punctures, discontinuities and workmanship defects across the membrane surface.
Earth Leakage Wet Test
Carried out in wet conditions during rainfall or after the test area has been wetted down. This method traces the direction of current flow back to the point where moisture is entering the membrane. That makes it the strongest choice when a leak is active and its source needs finding.
Scan-Map™ and EPDM Testing
A faster low voltage wet method, and the one that opens up membranes the others can’t reach. Conventional electronic testing relies on the membrane being non-conductive, which rules out EPDM entirely. Scan-Map™ tests it.
Membrane Condition Surveys
Independent electronic leak detection and integrity testing for flat roof and waterproofing membranes. Ideal for identifying breaches, pinholes, punctures, installation defects and membrane failures on new or existing roof systems.
Thermal Imaging Leak Detection
